Our Expertise

Building maintenance

Blue Bear currently holds seven long-term maintenance painting contracts. Five of these contracts have been renewed for another term. Most of the terms are 5-7 years in length. Two current contracts are still in their original term. Regardless of the type of building, we understand and have the practical experience in dealing with the challenges of this type of client. We are able to accommodate clients that have to maintain business hours during this process or have their own internal challenges with schedules, personnel and the public.

Fencing

Blue Bear has over 10 years in commercial fencing experience. We provide and install many types of permanent commercial fencing products such as standard galvanized products, steel decorative fencing like Ameristar products, wood both plank and round, vinyl and wire weld fencing. We have a strong local fencing supplier we use for materials and local rental companies as partners. To date, our largest single contract has been $400,000 for a local general contractor. One of our fencing focuses have been on local park and recreation work such as walking & biking trails.

Interior Renovations

Blue Bear has performed, partnered and supervised several small commercial renovation projects ranging from $30,000 up to $1,000,000. All of these have been completed using the Bid-Build delivery system with some experience in the cost-plus market. We have many strong long-term subcontracting partners that we can rely upon for their quality and performance, understand deadlines, construction budgets, scheduling, materials and client relationships.

Commercial painting

Blue Bear has over 15 years of commercial painting experience. We have worked for a variety of local general contractors, acted as the contractor and self-performed our own painting work and performed as a direct prime contractor.

Our painting experience consists of interior and exterior painting activities on a variety of substrates like drywall, brick, various metals, precast, block and some unique substrates such as acoustical tiles or sound dampening materials. Our commercial work has been highlighted by some areas of specialty. Some specialty area examples include the painting of small historical buildings located in Clay County, MO. Our largest specialty is commercial painting work for schools, universities and local colleges. We have successfully done this work as a direct prime to a variety of clients the past eight years.
